Slime slots are the most underrated upgrade. Going from 2 to 5 slots before your first rebirth nearly triples your effective DPS and lets you run a luck-passive slime alongside damage dealers. Prioritize slots over damage upgrades.
Backpack & Equipment
Your backpack holds every slime you’ve rolled. Equip up to 7 slimes at once, feed them to level up, and attach Power Fruits for unique abilities. This guide covers everything about managing your roster.
Slime Slots
You start with 2 equipped slime slots. Purchase the Slime Slot upgrade to add one slot per level, up to a maximum of 7. More slots means more DPS and more luck passives active at once.
| Slots | Note |
|---|---|
| 2 | Starting slots — all new accounts begin here |
| 3 | First Slime Slot upgrade |
| 4 | Second upgrade |
| 5 | Third upgrade — recommended before first rebirth |
| 6 | Fourth upgrade |
| 7 | Maximum capacity — fully upgraded roster |
Equip Best
The blue Equip Best button above your backpack automatically fills your slots with your strongest slimes based on their combat stats. Use it after rolling new slimes or after a rebirth to quickly set up your best team. You can also manually click any slime in your backpack to equip or unequip it.
Roster priority rules
Slots beat small stat upgrades early
A new equipped slot adds another slime’s full damage and can activate another passive. Until you have 5 slots, slot upgrades usually change your clear speed more than another small damage upgrade.
Manual override Equip Best when passives matter
Equip Best reads raw strength first. If it removes a luck-passive slime, a Power Fruit carrier, or a utility pick you need for a hunt window, override it manually and keep the passive active.
Feed permanent keepers, not temporary carries
Food XP persists, so spend it on slimes you expect to keep after rebirth: top DPS, luck passives, and rare variants. Avoid dumping expensive food into a short-term filler you will replace in the next zone.
Food & Leveling
Enemies drop food items. Feed food to slimes to grant XP. Each food tier gives +25 XP over the previous. Slime levels are permanent and carry across rebirths.
| Food | XP | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | +75 | 1,000 coins |
| Carrot | +100 | 10,000 coins |
| Cherries | +125 | 50,000 coins |
| Grapes | +150 | 500,000 coins |
| Banana | +175 | 2,000,000 coins |
| Watermelon | +200 | 20,000,000 coins |
| Pizza | +225 | 200,000,000 coins |
| Chicken | +250 | 2,000,000,000 coins |
| Drumstick | +275 | 20,000,000,000 coins |

Level Points & Power Fruits
When slimes level up from food, you earn Level Points. These are spent on the Power Fruit upgrade tree to unlock and enhance fruit abilities for your slimes. Each fruit has two abilities — one unlocked by attaching the fruit, one unlocked via Level Points.

Backpack FAQ
- How many slime slots can I have in Slime RNG?
- You start with 2 slots and can upgrade to a maximum of 7 slime slots by purchasing the Slime Slot upgrade from the upgrades menu.
- What does the Equip Best button do?
- The blue Equip Best button automatically equips your strongest available slimes based on their stats. It saves time when managing a large collection.
- Do slime levels carry over after rebirth?
- Yes. Slime levels are permanent and carry across rebirths. Leveling your slimes before rebirthing makes early-zone clearing much faster in the next cycle.
- Should I feed food to slimes or save it?
- Feed food to your best DPS and luck-passive slimes first. Slime levels persist through rebirth, so the XP investment is permanent. Focus on slimes you plan to keep long-term.
- Can Equip Best choose the wrong team?
- Yes. Equip Best is useful after a big rolling session, but it can hide a lower-damage slime with a useful passive. Manually override it when you need Lucky Slime, a Power Fruit setup, or a specific utility slot.
- When should I stop buying slime slots?
- Buy slots aggressively until you can run your main DPS slimes plus at least one utility passive. Before first rebirth, 5 slots is the practical checkpoint; 7 slots is the long-term cap once coin income is stable.
- What are Level Points used for?
- Level Points are earned when slimes level up. They're spent on the Power Fruit upgrade tree to unlock and enhance fruit abilities for your slimes.
