How to Get Level Points in Slime RNG.

What Are Level Points?

  • Earned passively — Every time you feed Food to a slime and it levels up, it gains 1 Level Point.
  • Separate currency — LP is tracked independently from the slime's level. Spending LP does not reduce the slime's level.
  • Tied to each slime — LP belongs to the slime that earned it. You cannot pool LP across slimes.
  • Used in upgrade tree — Spent in the Power Fruit upgrade tree to unlock right-branch abilities and damage nodes.

How to Earn

  1. Kill enemies — Enemies in every zone drop Food items when defeated. Higher zones drop more Food per kill.
  2. Feed your slime — Collected Food goes into your inventory. Apply it to the slime you want to level up.
  3. Level up = 1 LP — Each level-up grants exactly 1 Level Point to that slime. A Level 10 slime has 10 LP available to spend.
Editor’s note

Focus your Food on the slime that has your best Power Fruit (Lightning or Magician). XP can be moved between slimes via Slime Transfer (unlocked at Canyon), so early feeding mistakes are recoverable.

How to Spend

After a slime eats a Power Fruit, it gains an upgrade tree with two branches. The right branch costs Level Points.

Left Branch
Costs Duplicate Fruits
Unlock Ability 1 by feeding 3 fruits of the same type. Does not consume Level Points.
Right Branch
Costs Level Points
Unlock Ability 2 and damage nodes. Each node costs 3 LP. The LP is consumed but the slime's level stays the same.
Upgrade NodeCostWhat It Does
Ability 2 unlock3 Level PointsUnlocks the right-side ability (e.g. Chain Lightning, Card Throw)
DMG node 13 Level PointsIncreases damage bonus (varies by fruit)
DMG node 2+3 Level Points eachFurther damage increase — Lightning max is +32% DMG

LP Strategy

  • Prioritize AoE fruits — Lightning and Magician benefit most from LP investment because their abilities hit multiple enemies.
  • Don't invest in crafting slimes — A slime with a Power Fruit equipped cannot be used as a crafting ingredient. Only feed LP into permanent carry slimes.
  • High-rarity slimes first — Invest LP into your highest-tier slimes since they have the best base damage to multiply.
  • XP Transfer exists — If you accidentally leveled the wrong slime, use Slime Transfer (unlocked at Canyon) to move 75% of the XP to your target slime.

Worked Example

Scenario: You have a Level 12 slime with a Lightning Fruit equipped.

  • Available LP: 12
  • Spend 3 LP to unlock Chain Lightning → 9 LP remaining
  • Spend 3 LP on DMG node 1 → 6 LP remaining
  • Spend 3 LP on DMG node 2 → 3 LP remaining
  • Slime is still Level 12, with Chain Lightning active and +32% DMG bonus
  • Feed more Food to earn additional LP for future upgrades

Frequently Asked

How do you get Level Points in Slime RNG?
Feed Food to a slime. Each level-up grants exactly 1 Level Point to that slime. Food drops from enemies in every zone, and higher zones drop more Food per kill.
What are Level Points used for?
Level Points are spent in the Power Fruit upgrade tree to unlock abilities and damage nodes. Each upgrade node on the right branch costs 3 Level Points.
Does spending Level Points reduce my slime's level?
No. The slime keeps its level. Level Points are a separate currency that is consumed when you invest in upgrades. A Level 6 slime has 6 LP to spend — after investing 3, it stays Level 6 but only 3 LP remain.
Can I transfer Level Points between slimes?
Not directly. But XP (Food) can be transferred between slimes via the Slime Transfer system (unlocked at Canyon). Feed your target slime to level it up and generate fresh LP.
Which slimes should I invest Level Points into?
Invest into your highest-rarity carry slimes that have a Power Fruit equipped — especially those with Lightning or Magician fruit. Don't waste LP on slimes you plan to use for crafting.
