Spike sits in the awkward gap between Orca and the legendaries. It is rarer at 1 in 1,260 and hits harder than the epic-tier farmer beside it, but Tier C tells the real story: it is a sidegrade you equip while hunting something better, not a target worth a dedicated session of grinding.

If Spike drops during an Orca hunt, use it. If you are choosing what to chase, skip Spike and aim past the epic tier, where the damage curve finally bends upward and slots start to feel permanent. The honest comparison is to Axolotl, the other epic next door: Axolotl tanks where Spike attacks, but neither one out-paces a steady Orca farm in zone progression speed, and that is the verdict the tier list is quietly delivering.

Equip Spike as your strongest attacker until Spidey or any legendary arrives to take the slot. By the time you are deep enough into mythics to own Stump or Lucky, Spike has long since gone to storage with the other early epics. It is one of the slimes the rarity ladder pretends matters more than it does, and pulling it should not change your hunting plan or your luck-window targets.
